Jessica P. Jackson - Director & Editor

Jessica has always had an interest in film and what goes on not only in front of the camera, but especially behind it. While editing is one of her talents and favorite things to do, she also has an interest in various sound concepts. This interest led her to work on Feast Coast (2015) as a sound designer and The Delivery (2015) as a sound mixer. Feast Coast was accepted into several festivals, including Reel Teal, LA Cinefest, and Golden Sun. Over the past year Jess has been the Programming Assistant/Video Race Co-Coordinator for the Visions6 Film Festival and Conference as well as the Online Media Content Producer for Working Narratives. In the fall of 2016 she directed the film Modern Craft and is set to have four of her items published in upcoming issues of Film Matters magazine. Jess aspires to one day become either a full-time editor or sound designer for a television series, in particular Supernatural since it shows no signs of ever ending…which she’s okay with.

Devon Freeman - Producer

As a producer, Devon hopes to specialize in traveling documentaries as well as pursue careers in both film and theatre. She worked on short films Take Care (2015) and Wrath of Calvin Michaels (2015), produced the narrative short Complimentary Breakfast (2016), and directed the documentary short, Working Art (2015). Through her filmmaking, she hopes to inspire change and draw awareness to global issues. Her dream is to one day see the world while filming and writing about her experiences. Her passions include writing, playing her ukulele, and making lists.

Jordan Anderson - Director of Photography

Jordan Anderson, the Director of Photography for Modern Craft, is a recent Film Studies graduate from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. A former member of the Flicker Film Society, she is now the Art Director of  UNCW’s 2016 International Reel Teal Film Festival,  and has participated in various film projects during her time at the university. These projects include The Delivery (2015), Father (2016), and The Aftermath (2015), which was an official selection of the Reel Teal Film Festival.

Alan Keathley - Sound Designer

The sound designer for the Modern Craft, Alan Keathley comes from Mount Olive, North Carolina, the Pickle Capital of the United States.  The son of a teacher and a trucker growing up in the early 2000s, he spent much of his time harshly judging The Shawshank Redemption because it was on television all the time.  Currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies at UNCW, he fancies himself a writer, actor, and sound designer of reasonable skill.  He is currently working on several scripts, Pair of Eyes Lost, a comedy about broken glasses in post-nuclear America, Diamond In The Sky, and Once Returned, the story of a woman whose supposed-dead husband returns from the forest a changed man.  He has previously acted in Drunk Fiction, and several other projects that haven’t been detailed on his IMDb page yet.  Alan is 22 and living in Wilmington, NC.

Conner Keesling is a film student at UNC Wilmington who aspires to tell stories that people can connect with. During his time at UNCW he has taken on many different roles on set, such as Key Grip, Gaffer, and Sound Recorder. Conner produced the narrative short Apply Yourself (2016) and wrote and directed Complimentary Breakfast (2016). He just recently wrapped filming on One Summer Night, a full-length film he wrote and directed.

Walter Lynch - Camera Operator

Walter Lynch is a student at UNCW who has an absolute passion for cinematography. He has worked previously on multiple short films including Apply Yourself and The Delivery, as well as the feature length film One Summer Night. He also has extensive experience working with the Sony A7sII. Walter enjoyed working with this crew and learned a lot about the Wicca religion from this new and challenging experience.
